Why this exists

Most believers prepare spiritually for the rapture. Very few prepare practically for the people who will be left behind — the spouse, the child, the friend who will wake up to a world that has changed and have no words from you explaining what happened or what you hoped for them.

The services that existed when we started were not honest enough about what they were doing. Some claimed to detect the rapture automatically. Some implied your letter was unreadable to anyone but its recipient. Some charged a subscription for a promise that has to outlast the subscription. We thought someone should build this plainly, so we did.

What we believe

We believe the rapture is real. We also believe that no one can detect it, predict it, or automate a response to it. There is no signal a computer can listen for, no feed to subscribe to, no test that confirms it has happened. Anyone who says otherwise is describing something that does not exist.

So we do the only honest thing: a person decides, by hand. An administrator looks at the world, declares that the day has come, waits a full day, and confirms. That is a human judgement, not a detection, and we will always describe it as one. The longer explanation is on the how it works page.

What we will not do

• We will not claim to detect the rapture. Not with a timer, not with a heartbeat monitor, not with an algorithm that infers it from our silence. The mechanism is a person choosing to act, and we will say so everywhere.
• We will not use fear as a sales tool. The appeal of this service is love and regret — the thing you keep meaning to say. If a page on this site reads as though it is trying to frighten you into buying, something has gone wrong and we would like to know.
• We will not pretend your letter is unreadable to us. Your letter is encrypted in storage, but we hold a key that works without you — we have to, because the entire point is that we open it at a moment when you are not available. That encryption protects your letter from anyone who steals our database. It does not protect it from us.
• Your letter will outlast you. That is the point. We built this to run for as long as it needs to, and we structured the business — one payment, no subscription, no outside investors — so that it can.

Who we are

We are a small group of conservative Christian technologists with over twenty years of combined experience building software at some of the largest companies in the industry. We design systems for a living, and we built this one for our faith.

We do not publish our names or faces. The tech industry is not always a welcoming place for open believers, and we would rather build quietly than invite controversy that distracts from the work. Judge us by what we ship, not who we are.

What we bring is real: decades of engineering experience applied to a problem no one in our industry thinks is worth solving. We do.

How this is built

Small team, intentionally. The service is designed to be simple enough to run for decades, because it may need to. The fewer moving parts, the fewer things that break when no one is watching.

You pay once for a letter. There is no subscription. A subscription creates a perverse incentive: the service profits when you churn, because it keeps what you paid and drops the obligation to deliver. A one-time payment means we are only paid when someone trusts us with something, and that trust has to last as long as the letter does.
