Not yet operating

We are still building the part that actually delivers letters. Nothing you write here will be sent to anyone, and payments run in test mode only — you will not be charged.

1 Corinthians 15:52

In a moment.
In the twinkling of an eye.

It will not wait for you to finish the sentence. Whatever you have been meaning to say to the people you love — the apology, the blessing, the thing you assumed there would be time for — there will be no time for it.

So say it now, while you can still choose the words. We will hold what you write, sealed, and carry it to them.

What people write

Most of it has been waiting years to be said

To your children
What you want them to know about who they are, in your words rather than someone else's memory of them.
To someone you wronged
The apology you keep meaning to make properly, and keep putting off until a better moment.
To the ones still here
Where you have gone, why you believe you were called, and what you hope for them.

Why people write

“The thing I cannot bear is that the last thing I said to her was nothing in particular.”

What people are saying

Sarah R.

Tennessee

I wrote the letter I have been carrying in my head for eleven years. It took twenty minutes. I do not know why I waited so long.

Marcus K.

Georgia

My children are small. I wrote them each a letter explaining where I went and why. If they ever need it, it will be there in my words, not someone else's.

Diane W.

Ohio

I wrote to my sister. We have not spoken in four years. Some things are easier to put in a letter than to say out loud, and this way she will hear it when it matters most.

Plainly, before you write

The longer version

We can read it
Your letter is encrypted in storage, but we hold the key — we have to, in order to send it when you are not here. Anyone claiming otherwise is confused or lying.
A person decides
Nothing here detects anything. An administrator declares it by hand, waits a full day, then confirms. If they are wrong it goes early; if they never decide, it waits.
One payment, held
You pay once. No subscription. We hold your letter for as long as it takes — that is the commitment, and a one-time payment is the only model honest enough to match it.
