How we keep your letters safe
Each letter is encrypted with a key unique to it before it is ever stored — that protects it if our database is ever stolen. It does not protect it from us: delivering your letter at a moment you are not there to unlock it means someone here holds a key that can. Access is restricted and audited. See the full mechanism
