AI Anxiety and the Real Sign

The Newest Headline

A new AI tool can write a poem. It can hold a conversation. It can generate images from a text prompt. And suddenly the old questions return: Is this the image of the beast? Is this the mark? Is this how the deception spreads?

You read the articles. You watch the commentary. The fear is real. It is also familiar. Every generation has found technology that seemed to fit the prophetic puzzle. The printing press. The radio. The television. The internet. Each one stirred speculation. Each one passed.

AI is different in scale, but it is not different in kind. It is a tool. It can be used for good or for evil. But it is not the sign you are looking for.

The Real Sign

Jesus gave his disciples a clear sign of the end. It was not a piece of technology. It was not a political leader. It was not a natural disaster. It was the gospel preached to all nations. Then the end will come.

The sign is the spread of the good news. Not the spread of fear. Not the spread of speculation. The sign is that the name of Jesus is being proclaimed in languages and places it has never been proclaimed before. AI can help with that. It can translate Scripture. It can broadcast sermons. It can make the gospel accessible to people who would never walk into a church.

Or it can be used to deceive. The same tool can build or destroy. The question is not what the tool is. The question is who holds it.

The Deception You Already Know

The Bible warns of deception in the last days. False prophets. False signs. Wonders that lead people away from the truth. AI will amplify that deception. It will make it easier to create convincing lies. It will blur the line between human and machine.

But deception was always possible. The heart is deceitful above all things. The serpent deceived Eve with words alone. AI is a new channel for an old problem. The solution is not to fear the channel. The solution is to love the truth.

When you love the truth, you can test every spirit. You can ask: Does this point me to Christ? Does it exalt him? Does it align with the Scriptures? If not, step away. If yes, use it wisely.

The Urgency of Now

What if AI is a sign? Not a sign of the beast, but a sign that time is short. Every tool that speeds up communication also speeds up the clock. The gospel can spread faster. And so can the lies. The same technology that helps you write a letter can also distract you from writing one.

That is the real question. Not whether AI fits the end-times timeline. But whether you are using your time well. Are you scrolling through AI-generated content, or are you sitting down to write the letter you owe someone?

Paul wrote letters from prison. He did not have AI. He had parchment, ink, and a burning urgency. He wrote to people he might never see again. He wrote knowing that his time was short. He wrote because love demands words.

You have the same urgency. You have the same call. The tool in your hand is not the point. The words in your heart are.

Consider the case for writing it now, not later.

A Practical Step

This week, when you hear about a new AI breakthrough, do not reach for Revelation. Reach for your pen. Write to someone you have been meaning to write to. Tell them you love them. Tell them Christ is real. Tell them you hope to see them in glory.

That is a sign that no AI can replicate. That is a witness that no algorithm can generate. That is preparation that no speculation can match.

Write your first letter free — it takes one sitting, and it is one of the few things you can do that will outlast every headline and every new technology.
