How does RaptureMail know when to send my letter?

It does not detect anything. Delivery is started by hand by a named administrator, in two separate actions a day apart. If they are wrong the letter goes early; if they never decide, it waits.

Can RaptureMail read my letter?

Yes. Your letter is encrypted in storage, which protects it if the database is stolen, but we hold the key because we have to be able to send it when you are not there to unlock it.

Can I edit my letter after I pay?

No. Sealing a letter fixes its words permanently. You can delete it, and you can still update who receives it, but to say something else you write a new letter. Letters you have bought but not sealed are refundable for 30 days; a sealed letter is not.

What happens if the company closes?

The terms commit us to giving notice, making every letter available to download, and either transferring it to a successor, delivering it, or destroying it — and to saying in advance which.
